Pure Resorts Parnaíba

Known for its spectacular and unspoilt coast, Northeast Brazil is an increasingly popular holiday destination for both Brazilian and international tourists alike. Despite this popularity, the region remains largely undeveloped, with accommodation consisting mostly of small “pousadas” (guesthouses). To meet the massive demand for luxury resort-style accommodation, developer Pure Resorts Hotels & Residences will build five, premium eco resorts in the region. Pure Resorts Parnaíba, in the state of Píauí, is the first and flagship development and is offering a secure real estate investment opportunity for private individuals in a five-star beachfront resort from £25,000, with excellent returns. The conservation and protection of the stunning natural environment and ecosystems of the local region is core to the Pure Resorts’ development ethos. The low-density development is designed to blend seamlessly into the landscape.

Pure Resorts Parnaíba is the first 5-star resort in the region to have all licences granted to proceed with construction.

Northeast Brazil’s first luxury resort

Pure Resorts Parnaíba is the first five-star resort for visitors to the world-famous Parnaíba Delta and Lençóis Maranhenses National Park. It will feature an eco-friendly hotel made up of around 150 units, including tiki huts and apartments, as well as 400 residential plots spread over a substantial 161-hectare site. The gated development sits on the beautiful Pedra Do Sal beach in Parnaíba and guests and residents will be able to enjoy many outdoor activities, such as kite surfing, horse riding and dune buggies. Within the complex there will be two football pitches, tennis courts, kids mini-club, main clubhouse with a communal pool and barbeque facilities and a selection of shops and services.

Pure Resorts Masterplan

Developed sensitively and sustainably

Pure Resorts Parnaíba is the very essence of barefoot luxury – reflected in both the design and the brand. While the resort brings five-star facilities and service to the region, it does so with as little impact on the environment as possible.

Clean, green energy is provided by an adjacent windmill farm, while an onsite water treatment plant enables water to be recycled.

Other environmentally-friendly initiatives in place include an eco-farm growing local produce and an education centre supporting eco initiatives like the Delta Turtle Project. The resort’s location at Parnaíba is famous as a nesting ground for turtles. Between September to March the turtles arrive to lay their eggs on the beaches, so extra special care has been taken to minimise any negative impact. The developer is working alongside internationally renowned architect firm Melvin Villarroel, which has designed resorts for top tier brands including Ritz-Carlton, Kempinski and Sheraton, as well as luxury residential communities.
Pure Resorts Parnaíba is being developed as part of a long-term strategy to create a collection of signature resorts and residences in prime locations on the coast of Northeast Brazil over the next five years.

Northeast Brazil – beautiful and booming

For many years, Northeast Brazil lagged behind wealthier southern Brazil, but today it is catching up rapidly and has been the country’s star performer over the past decade.
As well as a rapidly growing renewable energy industry, the economy is supported by tourism. Domestic tourism is the major driving force of the Brazilian tourism sector. Last year Brazilians made 227 million domestic trips, and the Northeast is the most popular region to visit. It’s easy to see why; it’s one of the most bio-diverse regions in the world, with spectacular beaches and fantastic year-round weather.
The Parnaíba River Delta, where Pure Resorts Parnaíba is located, is designated as an environment of international significance, uniquely consisting of lush mangrove forests, undulating sand dunes, clear water lagoons and small rivers running between uninhabited islands. Abundant wildlife includes crocodiles, monkeys, turtles, crabs and various species of birds such as red ibis.

The area and development has the full support of both the national and federal governments who are keen to promote the area for ecotourism. Ecotourism is one of the world’s fastest growing industries, expanding at a rate of more than 20% annually and worth an estimated £250 billion (source: International Ecotourism Society).
