Beaches
Wherever you are in Nova Scotia it is impossible to be more than 56 kilometres (35 miles) from the sea. The shoreline - nearly 7,500 kilometres long (4,700 miles) - features beautiful unspoilt bays, inlets, coves and small islands.
Golf
Nova Scotia has more than 60 courses including a number that have a 4.5 star rating from Golf Digest 'Places to Play’ or are in SCOREGolf's 'Top 100 Courses in Canada'.

Skiing
Nova Scotia has four ski resorts that offer downhill skiing and snowboarding.
Wentworth
Features a 812ft vertical rise with the longest run coming in at 2.3 miles; 2 quad chair lifts, 1 T-bar, 2 rope tows. Also has snowboarding and snow tubing. Night skiing on three of the 20 alpine trails.
Martock
Features a 600ft vertical rise with the longest run approx. 1 mile; 1 quad chair, 2 T-bars, 2 rope tows. Activities available include skiing, snowboarding, canals for ice-skating and cross-country trails. All mountain trails are lit for night skiing.
Cape Smokey
Features a 1000ft vertical rise with the longest run consisting of 1.4 miles; 1 quad chair, 1 platter lift.
Ben Eion
Features a 490ft vertical rise with a longest run of 1km; 1 T-bar, 1 rope tow, 1 poma, 1 quad chair; night skiing.
Cross-country skiing
Nova Scotia also offers cross-country ski trails with a variety of facilities.

Fishing
With over 5,400 lakes in Nova Scotia you are never too far away from catching Salmon, Trout Bass or Carp – a true angler’s paradise. A general fishing license or salmon fishing license is required and are readily available throughout the province.
Trans Canada Trail
Forest Lakes Country Club adjoins the Trans Canada Trail, an 18,000 km recreational corridor which passes through every Canadian province and territory, connecting three Oceans. This is the longest trail of its kind in the world.
